Here's my little tale to tell. This might be
long winded but if I don't write it down, I'll forget everything
;)
I rang Couplands this morning to find out what branch she was
going to be in and what time. So left work early and
headed over. When I got there, Lucy wasn't in the shop and I
thought maybe I had missed her, so I got some bikkies and a loaf
of bread and sort of hung a round loitering <bg> Lucy and Kerry
Woodham arrived and they where stationed at a counter each. So
were cameras!!! I didn't want to be on the TV, so I stayed back.
The lady that was with Lucy at the till , saw me and came over.
I said I wanted to meet Lucy, but I didn't want to be in the
telly.
Anyway she arranged for the camera guys not to
film me. Lucy served me and we had a chat. I said it was really
nice to see her down in the South Island and was hoping she was
enjoying herself.. She said she was having a great time. She
looked gorgeous of course, but not as tall as I thought she
would be (I'm still thinking Xena) Her eyes were perfect! Her
nose was perfect! Her skin, hair, teeth and everything else was
just perfect! I asked if I could take a picture of
her....sheagreed, but I had to be in it too! So one of the
cameramen took my camera.
I was so embarrassed. THE BLOODY BATTERY WAS FLAT!!!!!!. I
apologised and quickly put in another couple. *phew* She was
busy serving someone so had to wait. She then grabbed a biscuit
and started to talk to the camera. She then offered me one,
which I took of course. ;)
Finally got my photo taken and she let me take a
couple more while she was serving. I mentioned to the man who
took the photo, that I was going to send these to Mary, who runs
the Xena website in Australia. He said, "Does Lucy know this"? I
said no.....well he went over to Lucy and told her. She promptly
turned to me with eyebrows raised, MaryD? I said yes <bg> I said
that Mary had e-mailed me and told me to get my butt down here
<bg> She told me to send her love to Mary, which I did ;) She
then grabbed my camera, then grabbed me and took a close-up of
the two of us. It's blurred of course, but I didn't mind one bit
<bg>
I didn't hang around after that! I had imposed long enough and
others were there waiting to be served. I would have loved to
have had a good old chat but I didn't.
I know I have probably forgotten stuff, but this is the gist of
it!
