But unlike many online clips of underdressed celebs, this
web hit has the full endorsement of the Kiwi TV star.
Lawless’s shower antics – in which the actress can be seen
rocking out to her own singing and flicking her wet hair
from side to side before peering through the condensation on
the shower cubicle glass – is a promotion to draw attention
to Greenpeace’s Sign On climate campaign gig in Auckland on
December 5 featuring herself, Opshop, Midnight Youth, Don
McGlashan and Kirsten Morrell. The event will be MCed by
comedian Rhys Darby.
Lawless has gone to extraordinary lengths in recent weeks to
further Greenpeace’s planet-saving campaigns. Stunts have
included a visit to parliament to present Prime Minister
John Key with a cheque for an economy class airfare to take
him to the Copenhagen conference on climate change next
month. Greenpeace has been lobbying for Key to attend the
conference and he has not yet ruled out attending although
he says it is ‘‘95% unlikely’’.
The money for Key’s fare was raised through cake stalls,
sausage sizzles and auctions.
