When asked to guest star as a client of
Michael's, Lucy Lawless leaps at the chance to be reunited with
her Xena Warrior Princess co-star Bruce Campbell, who was
Autolycus in the cult fantasy series and plays shady Sam in Burn
Notice.
"It was wonderful," Lucy says. "It was Bruce who
got me the gig. He's been trying to get them to write something
for me for ages. When (that role) came up, he was like "That's a
no-brainer." It just worked out beautifully.
Lucy adds, "I was acting too much last year and
had put on a bit of weight, which is why I look frowzy in the
beginning of the episode. But over the course of the week, I
lost weight and managed to look quite fit by the end. Miami's so
hot, it's like living in liquid - and I've lived in the
Australian outback during summer!"
