Nemesis Game had its market premiere at the American Film Market in February and so far has sold to Australia and, in a separate deal, to a trans-Tasman airline distributor.
The Film Commission isn't releasing more details until the eve of the Cannes Film Festival next month.
It was also pre-selling Perfect Strangers and The Locals at AFM.
The former has been picked up for Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece, Russia, Turkey, Croatia, Portugal and Poland; the latter for Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Greece, Iceland, Russia, Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam and Mexico.
"It was a pretty good market for us," comish sales chief Kathleen Drumm says. "Even though attendance was down about 30% because of the impending war [in Iraq], I was so busy.
"I was having meetings every half hour and there was a lot of interest in our new slate, particularly The Locals and Perfect Strangers."
She says the AFM response was pleasing not just because of buyer interest "but also the calibre of the buyers we were attracting".
Whale Rider and Toy Love also screened at AFM while among the New Zealanders present were John Barnett, Paul Voight, Harold Brodie, Grant Bradley, John Davies, Murray Francis, John Blick, Gordon Adam, Kelly Rogers, Richard Fletcher and Ruth Harley.
Nemesis Game's market premiere was supported by director Jesse Warn, producer Matthew Metcalfe and executive producer Chris Brown.
