One Night With Q
Auckland’s Q Theatre rolled out the red carpet to hold its first midyear fundraising gala, One Night with Q. The fundraiser was supported by some of New Zealand’s most treasured performing arts practitioners. The centrepiece was an exclusive gala performance of the acclaimed one-man show No Holds Bard by Q Theatre’s patron and Shakespeare master, Michael Hurst. Invited guests placed bids at a star-studded auction, with money-can’t-buy prizes, including a private performance by Hurst and lunch with Lucy Lawless. Internationally acclaimed jazz virtuoso Nathan Haines played a guest DJ set while patrons wined and dined with the best from Q’s kitchens.
