The 2011 AUSXIP Charity Auction has ended for another year and I've been crunching the numbers and I have to say it's been an incredible effort by everyone. I'm totally gobsmacked by the numbers.

We live in such hard economic times and I know it's so difficult for many people but you guys have come through yet again. The tentative figures so far for Starship and the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation is:

Starship: $7219 USD = $9,601 NZD (when converted). Isn't that an amazing figure!

Alisa Ann Burn Foundation (ROC Outreach): $2,258.50! Again thank you so much to everyone who participated.

That is a grand total of $11,859.50

"I love the run up to being on stage, the nerves, the silly warm-up games, the way actors support one another, it's pure joy. Plus, the audience brought the party and we raised buckets of money for Christchurch -- so Yay Everyone!

Well done, Ian Hughes (director/actor) and Toa Fraser (writer) for making it all happen.
Every single worker from ushers to stagehands and production, were doing it for free. For some that was a month-long commitment. God bless 'em.

Sorry there's no footage. I guess that's the whole point of theatre, you have to be there.

The New Zealand Performing Arts Review & Directory has a review of Bare for Christchurch with a very brief mention of Lucy.

This was a wholly unique, exigent and anomalous event comprising a heavyweight lineup of the industry's finest high-profile practitioners young and old, here to turn on a magical experience in aid of the Red Cross Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.

The large stage of the mighty Civic stood open and bare (you see what they've done there), save for a single dining room chair under a centre spotlight. Running to a record-length late start figure of almost twenty minutes, no-one seemed at all bothered given the quality of entertainment we anticipated. Not to spoil the ending, we were not disappointed.

Performance-wise the actors clearly had a mountain of fun, for our appreciative benefit, from Anthony Starr's tryhard ageing homeboy tagger Smokie, to Lucy Lawless's drunken street-pissing feminist.

Bare for Christchurch was on last night and AUSXIP Reporter Jo delighted everyone with the photos and video of Lucy from the night. Wasn't it cool to see pictures of Lucy's cast mates supporting her and BARE! It was a treat to see the new Spartacus Liam McIntyre, Viva, Dan, Michael and Rob!

Performance by Lucy Lawless "Woman Pissing"

Setting the scene.... each actor came on to perform their part, mainly in soliloquy with some imaginary conversation partner, did their bit, audience applause & lights dimmed as the next performer then takes their position in the dark or walked on stage when the lights go up.

Lucy's character....... well, what can we say, she took her position in the dark, lights out ready for us to see what she was going to do. Lights up... and Lucy is bending over with her butt stuck up in the air at the audience as her character is peeing in the streets !! (for those with keen hearing, you actually knew it was Lucy on stage by the groan she let out as she was peeing - think A Tale of Two Muses toilet scene). Dress was some sort of grey.

Ok, it's Friday evening and it's time for me to wander down to the Civic theatre to see Bare For Christchurch. I arrive and blown away by the beauty of this iconic building. Absolute majestic! Standing outside keeping an eye for MaryD's good mate Jo, I see a lot of faces that are familiar, but your not sure where you know them from. We make our way to the bar and see Andrew Young former CEO of Starship.

A quick hello and were off to go take our seats. I have no idea what to expect as I'm not real sure what it's about. As I read the program which gives the title to each segment I see one that says Woman Pissing and my first thought was "I bet that's the one Lucy is doing." The lights dim and the show begins.

Lucy Singing Aint No Sunshine – Bare For Christchurch Party 25 March 2011

Lucy Lawless performs Aint No Sunshine at the Bare for Christchurch after party for fun. Notice who is playing the piano – it’s Jason! For those who don’t know who Jason is…he filmed the hysterically funny videos of him “stalking” Lucy in Europe. Jason and Lucy are great friends.

Earlier in the evening, Lucy performed as part of an ensemble cast in BARE to raise money for the Christchurch earthquake relief.

Video was shot by Jo who also took the great photos of Lucy and the cast of Spartacus!

It was great to hear that Lucy's Sparty co-stars were there and the wonderful folks from Starship were there to support Bare and of course Lucy!

The afterparty started and there was speeches and some other interesting bits <g> Lucy photos are coming soon...

Just in time for the AUSXIP Charity Auction...(hint we have 4 days to go!) Lucy, Liam, Viva, Dan all signed a BARE program guide). That special item will go up as soon as I get the photo of it! Thank you so much to Lucy and everyone who signed that! How cool was that...watch for it tomorrow!)

Just got a very brief phone call from AUSXIP Reporter Jo at the completion of Bare for Christchurch. A more detailed report to follow but she did say that Lucy was HYSTERICAL and her segment was approx 3 minutes or so. The audience was just not expecting what they saw!

More is to follow but Lucy was fantastic! (are we surprised?) Liam McIntyre (the new Sparty) was also there.

Photos were not allowed (it was a theatre after all) but hopefully we will get to see some official photos soon.

The afterparty will soon start where all the stars and those with VIP tickets will mingle. Possible Lucy photos from this portion of the evening may be forthcoming.

TVGuide’s Damian Holbrook sounds like a Lucy Lawless in his latest article for TV Guide.com. Damian is absolutely right. You have a guest star that is just superb and you don’t use her more? Isn’t it the reason that she is a draw and you want people tuning in and that’s why you hire her? I don’t get it. It’s The L Word revisited (at least Lucy is getting more screen time on NOF than The L Word which was a disgraceful waste of talent)

You know what the opposite of super is? When a show that's on the bubble scores a fierce guest star and utterly wastes her. Kind of like No Ordinary Family did last night.

When news broke that the live-action answer to The Incredibles had locked in Lucy Lawless for a four-episode arc, we were all like "our hero!" Not that the show is The Cape-bad — it's actually quite fun, despite two charmless kid characters — it's just that nobody is watching. You'd need Clark Kent's hearing to pick up any buzz on this one. So the hope was that maybe the flawless Lawless' stint as Mrs. X could save NOF from its villainous ratings and bring some heat to the Powells' home.

Irene: I love No Ordinary Family, do you have any scoop on the finale and what they're going to do next year?

Everybody's favorite NOF character, Romany Malco's George, is getting super in the finale! See, Mrs. X (Lucy Lawless) has got her hands on the permanence serum, and George ends up being on the scene while she's trying to use the serum to create a legion of evil minions. Of course, there's going to be a SuperGeorge if and only if NOF gets picked up, and so far a renewal looks iffy at best. (Both Michael Chiklis and Julie Benz have signed on to do other TV shows if NOF doesn't get a season two order from ABC.)

Meanwhile, with George's help, Jim tries to track down those responsible for the death of a fellow cop, and Mrs. X (Lucy Lawless) tasks an unlikely person to keep tabs on Katie and her unborn child, on "No Ordinary Family," SATURDAY, MARCH 26 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Well the 2011 AUSXIP Charity Auction is nearly here and there are lots and lots of goodies that I've now added to the auction site in time for the 21 March start. A complete list will be available in the next day or so so you can see what's coming up!

This year's Starship auction takes on an urgency to generate funds for
Starship because they are dealing with the normal day to day funding needs of the Starship Hospital but also they are helping the kids from Christchurch's earthquake.

For Renee's portion of the auction (the ROC Outreach Fund) the money
this year will go to The Alissa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation, a charity
near and dear to Renee's heart. Renee participates in the Burn Relays every year which raises money for the foundation.

TV3 News – Lucy & Cast for Bare For Christchurch

Next Friday some of New Zealand’s biggest stars will assemble to help raise money for Christchurch.

Celebrities including Outrageous Fortune’s Antony Starr, Xena’s Lucy Lawless and Jurassic Park’s Sam Neil will perform the iconic play Bare to raise funds for the Red Cross 2011 Earthquake Appeal.

At the helm are theatre and No. 2 movie director Toa Fraser and actor Ian Hughes – of Shortland St fame – who got together two days after the earthquake realising they had to do something.

Sam Neill, Lucy Lawless and Rhys Darby are just some of the famous faces giving their time and talent to Christchurch next week. The trio, along with several other show-stoppers, will be staging a special performance of Toa Fraser's award-winning play, Bare.

Thirteen years after Fraser first wrote the play, it is getting a makeover for the benefit of Christchurch.

Star-studded cast to perform Bare for Christchurch

Sam Neill, Rhys Darby, Keisha Castle-Hughes and Lucy Lawless are among the star-studded cast of New Zealand actors performing Toa Fraser's iconic play Bare to raise funds for the Red Cross 2011 Earthquake Appeal.

On the 25th of March, The Civic, THE EDGE in Auckland will play host to this one-off theatrical performance. One hundred per cent of the proceeds will be donated to the appeal.

Two days after the quake Toa Fraser (Bare, No. 2, Dean Spanley) and actor Ian Hughes (Shortland St, Ship Songs, Bare) got together, after realising they had to do something. They got their phones out and in a short time pulled together seventeen of New Zealand's top acting and musical talent along with producers, technicians and designers.

"I'm so excited that the play I wrote about thirteen years ago is now going to be brought to life again with an absolutely incredible cast and for such a good cause," says Fraser.

Ian Hughes says, "Toa and I are overwhelmed by the support this project has received - the actors donating their time and expertise, THE EDGE providing the venue for free and a host of supporters coming on board with services and products, all of which means the maximum amount of money possible will go to Christchurch."

The much loved and celebrated Bare, popular in schools and universities, is a powerful play about Kiwi identity and change. Armed with the voice of the street, the actors will riff on body image, movies, takeaways, tagging and English literature, swapping between seventeen seemingly random characters, from brazen gym hottie to philosophical parking warden and waffling academic to multiplex popcorn pusher.

"In Bare we see how our interconnectedness, even though not always immediately obvious, begins to surface when we share our stories and our secrets - a theme that is particularly poignant right now," adds Fraser.

Originally performed by just two actors, this rendition, now with a full cast of seventeen, will feature an iconic line-up that has come together in support of Christchurch. One of the actors performing, Antony Starr (Outrageous Fortune, No.2, World's Fastest Indian), says he is excited to be involved. "This is a fantastic way to raise money and support Christchurch. I was honoured to be asked to take part. It's going to be a great night all round."

Cast member Morgana O'Reilly, who has acted in a previous rendition of Bare adds: "When something truly sad and horrifying has happened in your own country, and you are watching your own people on the news, crying and bloodied, it is astonishing how absolutely helpless you can feel.

"Being able to use the only thing I know how to do well to help is the very least I can do! I am so glad I can be a part of this," she says.

The full line-up (in order of appearance) includes Stacey Morrison, Mia Blake, Michael Hurst, Morgana O'Reilly, Ian Hughes, Sara Wiseman, Antony Starr, Ian Mune, David Fane, Curtis Vowell, Bronwyn Turei, Kirk Torrance, Lucy Lawless, Rhys Darby, Annie Whittle, Keisha Castle-Hughes and Sam Neill.

Lucy is in a 3 episode arc (down from a 5 episode arc that was cut because the season episodes were cut by 2).  There was a possibility of Lucy becoming a recurring character on No Ordinary Family but... things are not looking healthy for NOF.

TV|Line is reporting that Julie Benz and Michael Chicklis have both booked pilots which signals that they don't expect NOF to get a second season. No second season, no Lucy as Mrs X. What a shame.

Benz has joined CBS’ untitled Susannah Grant supernatural medical drama which, like NOF, has high-concept elements. Jonathan Demme is directing the hourlong project, which centers on Michael (Patrick Wilson), an ultra-competitive surgeon whose life is changed forever when his ex-wife (Jennifer Ehle), a doctor running a free clinic, dies and begins teaching him what life is all about from the hereafter. Benz will play Michael’s sister, an unfocused and overwhelmed single mother with a huge heart.

The show’s star, Chiklis, last week signed on to topline another CBS pilot, the comedy Vince Uncensored. Both are in second position to the ABC superhero drama, which has struggled in the ratings and is unlikely to see a second season.

Spartacus: Gods of the Arena and Lucy come in at #10. I agree with this reviewer who said that it's Lucy's best work. Lucy is just on fire as Lucretia; it IS her best work and she looks like she is enjoying it.

There’s a lot on TV these days, and a lot of it just isn’t very good. But rising high above the muck consisting of random Kardashians, Charlie Sheen and shows made with cookie-cutter premises are 15 exceptional series that have aired this year.

10. “Spartacus: Gods of the Arena” (Starz). I tried it out for the cartoonish violence and gratuitous sex. I stayed for the surprisingly compelling story and well-developed characters. Lucy Lawless put out the best performance of her career in this recently completed miniseries.

After two and a half months, the worlds longest ever horse race drew to a close this afternoon at Ellerslie racecourse.  Raising a total of $67,153, this race has seen 18 fibreglass horses, painted by well known New Zealanders, travel all over Auckland raising money for 18 charities.

Auctions for 17 of these horses went live on Trade Me three weeks ago and prices for them rose steadily today, before closing off in a bidding war shortly after 2.00pm.

Auckland Racing Club CEO Chris Weaver was on hand to present the Trust with their prize and to join a large crowd in congratulating all of those involved in the Resene Fastest Art Exhibition Campaign.

He also presented Starship Children’s Hospital with a cheque for $5,000 for having the most popular horse on Facebook. Each horse has its own page and was jockeying for position in a competition to receive the most “Likes”. The Starship horse, painted lovingly by Actress Lucy Lawless, proved a favourite with fans, votes coming from as far away as Scotland.

Lucy basically tells us the gauntlet was thrown down and we the fans picked it up and wouldn't let the other teams win. HELL YES! Xena/Lucy fans NEVER give up...it was a matter of pride and a matter for doing it for Lucy and Starship.

Amanda's fans pushed us alright and we nearly got overrun on the penultimate day BUT we rallied like Lucy fans do and won. It was a pretty good challenge by Amanda's fans and we give them mega kudos for scaring us into another gear. Thanks guys!

 HUZZAH! ARGO GOES HOME TO STARSHIP

Over the past few weeks, the longest few weeks of my online life, a band of merry AUSXIP Xenites came up with a brilliant idea.

We would combine our many skills and a few dinars and bring Argo home to Starship. Mission Accomplished!

Argo is going home! WAHOOOOOO!

Lucy's beautiful water horse is now home. I can now stop pestering poor Jo who had to put up with me this afternoon
as I got very excited about it and 10 minutes out I had her in stitches crying her eyes out 'cause she was laughing so much because I lost power and had to scramble to fire up my macbook!

Strewth it's been a long campaign!

I'm happy, the Xenites are happy, Lucy's happy and Starship has got more money and a horse! Lucky them!

BTW boys and girls moral to this story is ALWAYS have backup...macbook and wireless wifi - I love Telstra and Apple! :)) I think Jo and I were laughing so much it was just hysterical. Of all the things to happen, this wasn't planned!

Powered by Unreal Engine 3, the game looks fantastic. Spells are flamboyant and exciting, and part of that visceral combat experience is how enemies look as you tear them apart. They got the atmosphere of the "dark" ages down pat here, for sure. Sound is similarly exciting and engaging, including your sorcerer guide, played by geek superstar Lucy Lawless. She has the perfect voice for the witch who provides your magical assistance while also being conniving and entirely untrustworthy, and lends a little extra weight to a lot that otherwise starts off with some fairly standard tropes.

LUCY LAWLESS WINS AT ELLERSLIE
CELEBRITY HORSE WINS BY A NOSE

Lucy Lawless and her Egyptian horse, Argo, have been voted the most popular duo in town in an Auckland Cup Week charity competition which has seen life-size fibreglass horses turned into works of art.

Beating home 17 other celebrity horse duos, Lawless and the thoroughbred she designed, Argo, received the most Facebook ‘likes’ after a two month online competition, winning a $5000 donation for Starship Children’s Hospital from the Auckland Racing Club.

Lawless was in a three horse race with tough competition from actress Amanda Billing and NZ’s Next Top Model host, Sara Tetro but Argo was able to hold onto the lead and will be presented with the cheque for $5000 at Ellerslie this Saturday 12th March, Diamond Day.

Lawless, Billing and Tetro are three of 18 talented New Zealanders who donated their time and creative genius to paint life-size fibreglass horses in support of their chosen charity, as part of Ellerslie’s Resene Fastest Art Exhibition.

Each horse is currently being auctioned on Trade Me, raising money to benefit their chosen charity, with the Facebook competition being an extra opportunity to win money for their cause.

Oh goodness gracious me. It's evening in Sydney at 7:00 pm and I have no FB LIKE page to check..what will I do...hmm I'll post an update to all the days events...and there will be absolutely no more FB LIKING page check in my near future (UNLESS it involves Lucy and Starship)

Now where were we (other than pulling our hair out and hoping that the kiwis would go to sleep and stop LIKING Horse #2 and the rest of the world would wake up to start LIKING their little hearts out for Argo).

We pretty much won it yesterday with Argo's counter-punch, we matched them like for like from the rally call onwards and then we held and pushed ahead slightly overnight, even though we feared the worse when they kept going yesterday evening.

Goodness it was nerve wracking!

At 10:30pm last night it was 3545 vs 3367 (diff of 178)
At 5:30am today <we were punching the air as we were ahead and not behind>
it was Lucy 3696 vs Amanda 3472  (+224)
At 7am it was 3723 and 3475
At 9:05am it was   3765 vs 3500
At 10:39am it was 3796 and 3532
At 11:17am it was 3805 and 3546
At 11:56am it was 3817 and 3563

And HUZZAH we won! I was doing a happy dance in my office (I believe Jo has threatened to release video of me dancing but you poor souls might go blind so I'm urging her not to!)

Now in all the celebrations of Argo winning we do have to remember that the other charities lost out. Amanda Billing's horse which was going to the Child Cancer Foundation lost out big time and that I'm not happy about that. The Auckland Racing Club should give the two top charities $5000 each for all the work that they did - it really is only fair. If you want to donate to the Child Cancer Foundation please do so.

It's one of the reason I detest these contests because you have losers as well as winners and this time there 17 horses and charities that didn't win.

At the end of the day New Zealand kids won, let's hope the Auckland Racing Club.also gives some money to the Child Cancer Foundation; it's only fair.

Lucy Lawless thanks the fans for helping her and Starship win in the Resene Facebook Likes Campaign during February / March 2011! Her painted horse Argo Starship Warrior Princess won and in winning Starship gets $5000 extra for the kids!

Alrighty. Overnight it wasn't so bad. Woke up to figures that seemed to indicate Argo was storming back and leading by a small buffer of 261. As we saw yesterday that buffer can easily go poof! in a matter of hours.

The ODDEST thing was that yesterday horse #2 went up 520 in 24 hours. The good news is that Argo counter punched (can horses counter punch?) and went up 490 + the buffer we already had.

Hmm.  Okay time to rally for one more time and see through these last 4 hours and keep Argo #1.

The hit series made Xena an icon and a symbol of girl power; Xena is no wallflower, and she expects nothing but success as she takes on all that is wrong with the world, faces danger, kicks butt and comes out ahead.

This leather outfit was used on screen by Lucy Lawless as "Xena". This particular version was used for wire work as it has the openings on the sides for the wire harness connections. The costume is in overall good condition with only minor wear from use. This is her iconic leather outfit that is seen in every episode and a must have for collectors of the series

Aye curumba that was quite a day! Okay for those catching up as to what has happened today. Horse #2 did something I-don't-know-what but they were getting LIKES by the truckload. I received an urgent email from Jo who has been keeping an eye on things so we don't get surprised. Well we nearly got surprised and if it wasn't for Jo's quick email, myself, Sharon D/Creation and Starship all sending out a HELP HELP! URGENT messages and everyone else following it up - we would have been swamped.

We still might be swamped - at the moment Argo and Horse #2 are going LIKE for LIKE with Argo just in front (around 202 LIKES ahead). We have 15.5 hours to go - TOMORROW is the deadline at midday. Can we keep them from swamping us? I guess we will find out.

The Telegraph in the UK has a review of the game. It also had more about Lucy's character "Seraphin" - I'm hoping someone who is playing the game to get a screencapture of Lucy's Seraphin...hopefully that will come soon.

But our demo was more geared towards getting a taste of the story and exploration that Hunted will provide. After a solo tutorial that introduces the mechanics of each character (when playing alone, you swap between E'Lara and Caddoc at sporadic locations), the pair come across Seraphin, a ghostly, white-eyed witch voiced by Lucy Lawless of Xena fame. Seraphin isn't wearing many clothes either, it's a common theme.

Seraphin asks Caddoc to pick up the Deathstone that rests on a pedestal in front of them. Caddoc might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but even he realises that going anywhere near something called "the Deathstone" is probably a bit dodgy. E'Lara doesn't have any such scruples, grabbing the Deathstone and releasing hordes of demonic skeletons spoiling for a rumble. Dimwit.

Lucy Lawless Movie – A Bitter Song (1991)

A Bitter Song is a short film made in 1991 and deals with Greek migrants to New Zealand. It’s the story of a troubled young girl whose father, a Greek resistence fighter in the war (the film is set in 1956) that ends up in hospital for a suspicious lump on her leg.

Lucy’s role is that of hospital nurse.

SPARTACUS GODS OF THE ARENA and SPARTACUS BLOOD AND SAND are two of the most popular genre series that have been on television in recent years. Both were immense hits for Starz, and in 2012 there will be a new second season picking up where BLOOD AND SAND left off.

Steven S. DeKnight, one of the series creators and writers loved giving back story for the prequel, and is looking forward to all of the challenges in the works for the next season of the Starz original.

AX: Lucretia will be back for season two, but will she be a cameo or a main character?

18 Fibreglass Horses Set To Cruise Auckland's City Streets

Today, from 11.00 am until 2.30 pm, 18 life-size, painted fibreglass horses can be seen travelling the streets of Auckland City. They will be moving slowly, sitting proudly atop a procession of trucks.

The 18 horses, which have been painted lovingly by 18 talented artists, will be making their way to Ellerslie Racecourse ahead of Telecom Derby Day and Auckland Cup Week.  The sight of the 18 fine equine specimens is sure to stop traffic.

AX: I felt that Lucretia wearing Gaia's red wig, it was her way of never forgetting and never forgiving what had happened in the past?

DEKNIGHT: Absolutely! It was very symbolic in that way. In terms of back story it almost didn't happen. We cast Jamie Murray, and it took us a while to find a Gaia that we all were crazy about and we really fell in love with Jamie. By the time we could get her to New Zealand we were very close to shooting, and it takes a month to make these custom wigs, so we didn't have enough time. We had to see if they could make Lucy's wig work. I can't completely remember, if they made Lucy's wig work from season one, or they put a rush job on it. I think it was probably Lucy's wig. It was a nail-biter right up until we were starting to shoot to know if we could have Gaia wigged for this thing to work. I was hoping and praying that we could get it done because it is such a powerful image. It's one of those little things that we love that explains why she wears wigs. We also had a subplot that we jettisoned. We had a whole wig motif seeing Solonius pick out his first wig, but that luckily fell by the wayside.

AX: It was set up to make the audience believe that Batiatus would kill his father Titus, and then in the end it is ultimately Lucretia that does the deed. Was that always the plan?

DEKNIGHT: We knew early on. The broad strokes started out as "Batiatus kills his father", but as soon as we started talking about it, we decided it was a little too obvious. We decided to have Lucretia be the one who does the deed. Batiatus can't do it so she does it and can never tell him. The twist in case people saw it coming, one way or another they knew the dad was going to die, but the twist here was Lucretia killing off Oenomaus' wife along the way. We had a devil of a time and we went round and round for a week, trying to figure out how Melitta gets a hold of the wine and how she drinks it without Gannicus drinking it. It was all a bit of a conundrum.

S2 E5 Xena Praying – Return of Callisto

This scene in the episode Return of Callisto is one of the most powerful of season 2. It has Xena, down on one knee praying to the gods to save Gabrielle’s soul. It’s INCREDIBLE. Considering Xena NEVER prayed to any god; she was willing to do so to save Gabrielle.

When the fierce woman warrior Callisto (Hudson Leick) escapes from prison, Xena (Lucy Lawless) must face her in battle once again.

There are two more episodes in Lucy's arc (and in the season) of No Ordinary Family - the season and Lucy's episode number have been cut from 22 to 20 (and Lucy's episodes from 5 to 3). The next episode is on 22 March and it's called "No Ordinary Animal".

Gamesplanet in New Zealand has an article about the latest game from Bethesda Softworks called Hunted: The Demon's Forge. It also has a behind the scenes description of Lucy voicing the character:

Lawless recently signed up to play a part in inXiles' Hunted: The Demon's Forge and in short order, our Lucy was put on the spot.

"She was so funny!" exclaims Maxx Kaufman, game director on Hunted. "Really cool, really funny, and we just love her voice. She's super-sexy."

"I was there for the recording," he explained. "She was actually being filmed in New Zealand and we were recording here (in the States). She was wearing a shirt and they said, 'You're going to need to switch your shirt,' and she's like, 'Oh! I knew it! This was the one job where I wasn't going to be topless and now you guys are making me change my shirt!'"

Lawless is the voice (also, clearly, the physical inspiration) of the mysterious and perhaps untrustworthy Seraphine. Claiming to be the daughter of the mayor of Dyfed, Seraphine charges our mercenary heroes Caddoc and E'lara with the task of rooting out a demonic plague in, around and below the hamlet.

Bethesda's fantasy action title to get a little Hollywood talent. The star of "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" and "Xena: Warrior Princess" has been confirmed to be voicing a character in Bethesda's upcoming Xbox 360, PS3 and PC dungeon crawler.

Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media company, today announced that Lucy Lawless will lend her voice to the fantasy action game, Hunted: The Demon's Forge. Hunted is a fresh take on the classic dungeon crawl experience that delivers the intensity and action of a modern-day shooter. It will be available in North America on June 1st and throughout Europe June 3rd on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, and Games for Windows.

Lawless, who rose to fame through her groundbreaking performance as "Xena: Warrior Princess", currently stars in the television series, "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" and recurs on the ABC series "No Ordinary Family". In addition to these two high-profile roles, she also starred as D'Anna/Number Three in the critically-acclaimed Syfy Channel series "Battlestar Galactica."

"Hunted is an incredibly dark, intense game and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to work on such a thrilling project," said Lucy Lawless. "After playing the heroine for so long it's refreshing to portray such a villainous, seductive temptress!"

Meet Mrs X - Lucy Lawless Message to No Ordinary Family Fans

Holy frak! ABC's No Ordinary Family makes fanboy dreams come true by pitting superhero brood the Powells against two new baddies played by former Battlestar Galactica beauties Lucy Lawless and Tricia Helfer. "We're certainly excited to not only have two actresses of their caliber, but also two actresses with significant followings," says executive producer Jon Feldman, who's fighting for the freshman drama's renewal. Feldman's plan to give the bubble show a boost in ratings, other than casting some serious hotties?

"To really amp up the degree of mythology and the cool factor in terms of the villains," he explains. "Hopefully it's stuff that fans of the genre will really get into."

No doubt Battlestar devotees will geek out over the reuniting of Lawless and Helfer as the mysterious Mrs. X and Sophie, respectively. Mrs. X -- whom Helfer describes as "pure evil" and will appear in a multi-episode arc -- tasks Sophie to cast a spell over Powell patriarch Jim (Michael Chiklis) and his sidekick, George (Romany Malco). "She basically mind-controls them," explains Helfer. "Sophie isn't Wonder Woman -- she's not strong and she can't run fast, but she has the ability to make men googly-eyed and control what they do."

Of course, those feminine wiles create waves within Jim's marriage -- and could even put his wife, Stephanie (Julie Benz), in harm's way. Teases Helfer, "Things could literally blow up." Also look for the show's other heroes to face serious threats, says Feldman. "As they embrace the role that has been thrust upon them, the stakes become life or death," he says. "We're building toward an exciting conclusion."

No Ordinary Family airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC.

Lucy has voiced the character of Seraphine, a mysterious leather-clad siren. in the new game by Bethesda Softworks

Set in a dark fantasy world, Hunted: The Demon's Forge is an unforgettable cooperative action game, pitting you and your partner against waves of vicious enemies. Taking control of either E'lara, a ranged weapon expert, or Caddoc, a master swordsman, you must use a variety of weapons, powerful spells, and cover tactics to battle your way through menacing dungeons, overgrown ruins, and downtrodden towns. Discover secrets and complete co-op-based puzzles whilst exploring the sinister world to discover answers to the game's deep, dark mysteries.

Story Overview:

The dark ages have become corrupted. Heinous creatures have emerged from underground. Townsfolk across the land are disappearing. Upon the promise of their fortune in gold, mercenaries E'lara and Caddoc take on the daunting task of discovering where the innocent villagers have been taken. Their journey will lead them on a dark and twisted path where they will encounter death, slavery, and sacrifice. Travel deep within the world of Kala Moor...and to the secrets of The Demon's Forge.

Several reviewers have mentioned Lucy (although no official statement has been released through Bethesda Softworks about Lucy's involvement)

A portal opens and out steps a woman with pupil-less eyes, skin the colour of poisoned milk and an outfit that leaves one thing to the imagination: how she got into it. Introducing herself as Seraphim (and voiced by Lucy Lawless), the lady requests that Caddoc picks up a small, dark stone on the pedestal next to her, referring to it as a "Death Stone".  Source

Once we'd got used to the controls and played through the prologue, seeing the beginning of the main story and meeting Lucy Lawless (she plays Seraphine, a mysterious leather-clad siren), it's time to get together and hopefully feel alright, in a co-op sense. Source

It's standard stuff, so few will be blown away by the story, with the exception of the surprise role of Lucy Lawless as Seraphin. Awesome.
