PASADENA, CALIFORNIA — Don’t always believe what you see on TV.
It’s a cliched, overworked expression, to be sure, but followers of the cult Roman epic “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” probably needed reminding after April’s finale, aptly titled “Kill Them All,” in which virtually every character but Spartacus himself was killed — bloodily and lustily — in the story’s closing moments.
